The Castle at the Edge of the World
Servenio's Harrow Deck
Minor Artifact Divination Deck
Sees All Knows All
Drawing cards from the deck duplicates an umber of divination spells. The number of cards drawn determines the spell effect that is duplicated.
Drawing one card form the deck acts like any one of these spells: augury, know direction, or know the enemy.
Drawing two cards form the deck acts like any one of these spells: detect magic, detect poison, detect thoughts, detect undead, detect snares and pits, discern lies, locate creature, locate object.
Drawing three cards form the deck acts like any one of these spells: discern location, or divination.
Drawing five cards form the deck acts like the spell: contact other plane.
Knowing too much about your future is a good way to draw the attention of Outsiders. Drawing cards from the deck incurs a 1% cumulative chance of angering the deck for each card drawn in a 24 hour period. If angered the deck will force the user to do a five card draw displaying the fate that awaits them in the next twenty four hours.
The deck will answer questions asked aloud that no one else answers, or questions asked aloud that no one else can answer. The owner of the deck will simply find the cards appearing in his hands. The deck will use however many cards it needs to answer the question. This counts toward the total number of cards drawn in a given day.
Loyal onto death
The Servenio Harrow deck can not be given away, lost, stolen, or destroyed. It will always appear back in the belongings of the owner, until the current owner dies. The next person to touch the deck becomes it’s new owner.
Created by the mad artist Servenio. Each card is a miniature master piece painted on thin sheets of Ivory. When shuffled through and examined the deck appears as a standard harrow deck, but inuse as a divination tool nonstandard cards appear.
